Nina Barnieh-Blair

Ghana-born, London-raised, now residing in New York City, Nina Barnieh-Blair is the Principal and Creative Director of NinaBDesign.

Nina’s focus is on designing uniquely characterful interiors that capture and reflect the personalities of her clients.

Her designs marry aesthetics with a deeply empathetic understanding of the emotional and practical resonance of a space. Above all, her projects are places for people to live or work, and their design should facilitate and maximize the human experience. Thus her design leans towards modern elegance, with a marriage of playfulness and functionality.
Every project starts through careful space planning with respect to the architecture. Nina’s passion for color, layering of textures, and combination of shapes, art, furniture, photography discovered through her travels allows her to create eclectic interiors unique to each project and individual.

Nina has experience in both residential and commercial design; her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, NY Magazine, Clever, Business of Home and Open House.

Prior to receiving her degree in Interior Design from Parsons the New School for Design, Nina was a successful PR consultant in London for leading lifestyle and interiors brands. Nina lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
